Dell I had a Super Automatic espresso machine a few years ago until it went out. I figured it would cost more to get it fixed than it was worth. So, I bought this Saeco Odea Giro and I love it. My other machine was digital and had more options, but was also more expensive. I much prefer the Saeco Odea Giro because it is easier to use, quieter than my other machine and hopefully will last longer. As with most products, the more options and computers you have on it, the more of a chance something will go wrong. The Giro was designed by BMW. This makes it less boxy looking, like most other espresso machines, and therefore much more pleasing to the eye. The controls are simple and straight forward. Turn it on and it heats up in 30 seconds. Select the amount of coffee to be ground, turn the dial for the amount of water you want and press the brew button. Of course, once you set the first two options, then you only have to press the brew button for the next cup And that is it. The maximum amount of water it will dispense is about 9 ounces. Of course, if you press the brew button 2 times then you will get twice the amount or two cups of coffee. This amount of water works fine for me because I drink cappuccino. I have tried different brands of coffee such as, Lavazza, Starbucks, Peets and Illy. I have found that Illy is the smoothest and no bitterness, but is the most expensive. I usually use Starbucks because it has a nice flavor and fairly mild. Coffee is subjective. Just try different brands and blends until you find the one you like the most. Just do not use a flavored or highly oily coffee bean because it could plug up the grinder. There are four lights on the front. One is the on or ready light. Another one is to let you know when to decalcify. The third light tells you when you need to empty the used grounds, dump box. The forth light has different functions that could mean one of several things This light will either be on steady, slowly flash or rapidly flash. This light will warn you of one of the following. The water tank is empty, bean hopper is empty, drip try is full, water tank is not pushed in all the way, service door is open, brew group is not installed correctly, coffee bean cover is not securely in place or the water circuit needs to be primed. Just read the manual to see what the light status means. There is an optional Aqua Prima water filter you can buy. This filter is a must have if you use tap water. Otherwise, you will get a buildup of calcium and other minerals that decalcifying may not totally get rid of. Plus, your coffee will taste much better. I can not address the froth wand because I have a separate machine I use for cappuccino, but I am sure it works just like other espresso machines. As with most espresso machines the coffee is not quite as hot as I would prefer. So, I preheat the cup by simply putting about one third cup of water in the cup and microwave it for 40 seconds This also helps keep the coffee hot longer. Maintenance is easy and quick. Fill the bean container when it needs it. Empty the dump box every day or whenever it tells you. Empty the drip tray when needed. Fill the water tank when needed. Rinse the brew group at least once a week. Here are some helpful hints. If the machine has not been used for a few hours and is cold, when you turn it on it will dispense a small amount of water out of the spout. This action primes the pump and cleans the spout of any coffee residue. Place a cup under the spout to collect that water and dump it. That way it will not go into the drip tray and you will not have to empty it as often. Also, do not let the water tank get too low or it will stop in the middle of brewing. I highly recommend this espresso machine. You could spend a few thousand dollars on one with all the bells and whistles, but the end result is the same.

The best customer feedback December 12 people found this review helpful. By Scott beginer I have the machine for a week and now I think for the price (I paid $ 204 in total), it is likely you can not find a better one. It looks great, makes good espresso and cream well. I get about an increasingly cream 1 / 8 ". I'm not sure if that's good or little. My two main complaints are: 1) after he took his shot and close the switch brewing, another 2 to 3 oz of liquid still leaves the holder. All of this goes into the drip tray after removing the cup below. I thought it might have just been my machine, but I read a review somewhere else and had the same problem . 2) The portafilter does not fit very tight on the stand, so when you knock out the garbage routines, sometimes you have to retrieve the filter. So hold the edge of the filter with your thumb when cool and must take care of this problem. Just do it with a cool rag if it's still hot One more thing) If your steaming milk, in order to get the milks temp up to 160 degrees, you may have to steam it till the temp light comes back on, then wait about 30 seconds till it goes off again and then steam it for a few more seconds. So if you can live with the minor issues above and can't spend more than $200, this machine will make very good espresso's & capucino's 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. A Great Machine By Marmot3 After getting poor results from a steam driven Krups I decided to give home espresso brewing another try with a pump driven machine. After many days of research I settled on the Villaware Moderno. In addition to good reviews it was the only pump machine in this price range that did not have a boxy, or plastic look. All in all I a very happy with my purchase. The machine heats up fast, its easy to use and the foamer is fool proof. I steamed half and half for my cappucino and got mountains of very stable foam on the first try! For espresso I used the Illy pods that came with it and got very satisfactory results The espresso was plenty hot and had a moderate amount of crema. But I understand that you get less crema anyway if you use pods. The hot water dispensing feature also works fine. I dispense the hot water into a large pyrex measuring cup for preheating the espresso cups. Some things worth mentioning. Cleaning: In addition to washing everything with soapy water, I ran 4 tanks of water through the system before I could get rid of that "metallic smell". Definately run water through the steam nozzle before using it. I noticed little particles of stuff coming out in the rinse water. Dripping: yes the portafilter does drip after you stop brewing but I shove a shot glass under the spout after I remove the cup and no problem. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. No Customer Service By K. West The product works well, is easy to clean, makes great espresso quickly It's so sleek and retro, it's fun on the countertop. On the first usage, one of the two filter holder's handles, which are plastic, broke off of the filter. The one designed for grounds has worked fine, but I cannot use the pod filter at all. I called the seller to learn the warrantee was through the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer to discover they didn't handle their own customer service, the folks who handle it for them had one solution: ship the entire unit back to the manufacturer to have one small, several ounce completely separate handle replaced. The price for shipping the entire unit back, at my cost, was prohibitive. It is silly to have an appliance this beautiful be disposable because of a small piece of plastic, or more accurately, terrible customer service. I will not buy Villaware products again. We used a fully automatic Saeco model for the past nine years, but recently started leaking and we decided to get a new machine. Before buying the Benvenuto B30, we have explored a lot of machines: Saeco models we saw on the decorator does not beat us too well made. Our old is largely made of metal, but we found the new models will be made with a relatively thin plastic feeling. Then we looked at the Jura machines, but ultimately decided against them because of their high prices, reviews we read that coffee is not hot enough, and because the Jura machines only three different settings of the strength of the coffee - weak, medium and strong. We wanted to have more options. Had had experience with these types of machines for almost 10 years, we knew what we wanted: a jet adjustable in height, the ability to use both beans and ground coffee, a relatively quiet operation, and a smart design that will tell us when water Fill, the beans when they are to clean, descale, etc. B30 is doing all this and more. In addition it offers a sleek design and is very well done. The machine does not take long to reach operating temperature and the electronic display that informs you when it is ready. The coffee strength can be adjusted from mild to extra strong. Furthermore, the amount of water is adjusted to fit small cups of espresso, coffee mugs XXL and virtually everything in between. Probably the best option is adjustable in height, or rather beaks (the B30 has two) that allow you to prepare two cups of coffee simultaneously - a huge time saver in the morning! We found that although the height can be adjusted to just over 4 inches, there is no problem to use more than CUPS This is due to the clever design that offers a wide and easy to nozzles on the side and front - we just taking the cups under the spouts at a slight angle. With our old machine, Saeco, we always had to remove the grate and the tray can accommodate large bags. Another interesting feature is that the water temperature can be adjusted. At best, the coffee is hot - very useful when adding cold milk froth, as with other machines, making the coffee too cold to be fun. The B30 even has a heated top grill to preheat the cups of coffee! And if all this were not enough, the machine still has a timer function to turn on automatically at a preset time, and off again after a certain number of hours In summary, this machine is very easy to operate, fast and makes a great coffee in all kinds of concentrations and sizes. An integrated steamer milk foam, etc. is a quality course. The only thing I would mention is that if you are a large family of coffee lovers, it is possible that the water tank to be a little on the small side. In our house we're just two people and find that you have to fill the tank every day after only 2 to 3 cups of coffee in size XXL. Once again: This also ensures that water is always fresh and not stale from sitting in the tank for too long. As the judge whether this is negative or not. I whole-heartedly recommend this machine which in my opinion offers a lot more than the overpriced Jura machines, especially when it comes to flexibility! 15 of 15 people found the following review helpful Super Automatic Nirvana By M. Zukerman The Bosch is a great machine - I owned a Jura F7 for about 18 months and finally returned it to Sur La Table (great return policy at Sur La Table by the way). The Jura was absolutely acceptable when it worked, but I think we killed it when my wife switched to decaf and started using the bypass chute every day. It started showing error messages and would refuse.

I'm not a coffee snob and do not really care one way or another, the name comes from outside the machine. I do not like to disappoint strong espresso and this machine. There are a few things that I like and some things I do not like. They are: for example: - Easy to use - can grow with you, that is, if you to pull out the pressure washer damage and you want to start your own videos, you can, after some practice and is probably a better quality of cream and espresso. Bean quality grinding, etc. .. dependent. .. - Fast heat-up fast (less than 2 minutes in the morning) and steam (less than 10 seconds - good micro-foam in the boat my wife loves cappuccinos and good quality foam is happy his aversion: -. The water level sensor makes me crazy. It comes, I fill the tank, and it will not turn off. I have to mess with the container where it joins the machine to get it ... over time. I have read more than a few comments on this issue. Generally small, but annoying. - Price. I bought this machine in the Christmas special (499 w / grinder, barista kit, a pound of coffee at a discount of 30% of employees ($ 375 paid at the end). ... It's an incredible deal, which did very well worth the money. ... I do not know the full price. I love this team, but I'm cheap and I'd rather pay for quality and performance you see. This machine offers, but without the discount was made my choice more difficult. There is a coffeegeek.com great discussion about the Sirena. A guy named Wayne, also known as roastaroma, became his mission in life to break this machine apart and remove every bit of off-USEFUL. By the way coffee lovers looking for a great machine ideas can help you make a decision. Happy shopping. six months of renovation (July 1, 2008). The steam button removed about 3 weeks ago One minute I was frothing milk, the next thing I tried to get a jet of hot steam to stop ... impressive. SB I contacted and they gave me the number to their warranty dept. I called their warranty department and they told me that SB SAECO guaranteed element. Okay, so I call SAECO and was not really satisfied with the answer. First, they confirmed that the unit was under warranty .. well. Second, they sent me a form to fill in details problem with the machine. I had to fax back form their warranty department ... well so far. Thirdly, I was informed that I was responsible for packing and shipping the car to them without any refund. Fourth, they told me that if something other than the deficiencies previously sent via fax was discovered that it would be repaired at my expense. Conclusion, if something is broken during shipping, you pay for it from my pocket, along with shipping and handling you've already spent for the defective back to the manufacturer's output, I have not had much trouble to get things in the past service . SAECO warranty repair system seems a bit too involved and is not user friendly in my opinion. I have contacted the Starbucks, which I bought from the machine and the machine could replace ... but is less than ideal experience SAECO important to share. Unlike the machine still works well and is still glad I bought it. Starbucks customer consists of the problems SAECO. 27 of 27 people found the following review helpful. Bundy I must begin by saying that this is my second XP4050 in a month, the first suffering from two problems. One problem was the same that others mentioned here, if no more water from the filter head and instead just dumps into the drip tray from an apparent overflow-type valve in the underside of the machine. This happened only once, correcting itself, and never happens again. The second problem was that I would occasionally a small amount of water leaking from the front-panel buttons and the stainless area on the front of the machine and noticed very hot. I believe these were a problem, possibly leaking the Brewing part. I contacted Amazon online and was shocked at the ease and speed of getting a replacement model. No cost to me, including shipping, I had a brand new XP4050 within 3 days. The new model works perfectly. I am a somewhat new espresso afficienado, having been making my own at home for only about 2 years This is my second machine, my first being a Krups Gusto that recently died. I decided on the XP4050 after a great deal of research and comparing features versus cost. The price I got this model through Amazon was literally half what I was looking at with other brands. As far as use of the machine, it couldn't be easier. I use mostly pods but have tried grounds with equally easy and great tasting shots. The three different filter baskets for brewing are held in the handle firmly, which was an issue in my old Krups Gusto (I accidently threw away the single shot filter basket). The frother performs very well although I have not tried the attachment for pulling the milk from a separate container. As others have said, make sure you keep an eye on your drip tray, it does tend to fill quickly. I empty mine every 4-6 shots. Overall, even considering my initial "problem" model, I am extremely happy with the XP4050 It's a great looking, inexpensive, easy to use machine that consistently puts out quality shots of espresso. I would recommend this model to either new beginners or someone looking to step up a little. 26 of 28 people found the following review helpful. Ahh great coffee at home By Matt Davies Ahh great coffee at home Firstly I am just a wee amateur when it comes to coffee. I hate instant coffee and wanted quality coffee at home that was easy to make. I just purchased this machine last night; it's our first pump espresso machine. It took me a couple of goes, messing around with the machine to produce a good coffee, but I seem to be getting quicker and better with each additional coffee I make. It's fairly simple to use. The pre-programmed 1 or 2 cup buttons take all the guess work out of the coffee creation - process. It is also very quick to shoot up (become clear from the power to the coffee-building) in comparison to some of my friends machines, automatic cappuccino (milk foam) also works well, with surprisingly little mess or effort, but be sure to use very cold milk. So far the machine seems to be very easy to clean for your perfect cup, no drips or mess that I have read about in other reviews. I have not tried the ESE pods yet, but I'm sure that this eliminates the mess of coffee ground. I hope this helps, found enjoying 29 of 32 people the following review helpful. Loud, rattling, rripping, but good espresso ... By A. Ossorio I love my espresso and used a Krups machine 15 bar pump for the last 7 years. Love that machine and so bought the latest Krups, xp4050. oh. On the plus side: + Make a good cup of espresso. Not fantastic (not with a touch of the burned flavor you get from boiler models), but a very drinkable cup. And that is what to do! + I LOVE the auto frother milk. I fold the tube in a cup of milk and pull the milk and spit it in my head all frothy and hot, very nice (but slightly diluted with water from the pipe, but.

You can not beat this machine for the price its at. I've had other machines in the < $200 price range, and they don't compare. Its easy to use, its got a sexy design that compliments a contemporary kitchen, but most off all, it makes a great espresso. Each cup has a thick amount of crema that remains after you stir the espresso. The two boilers are great; the espresso never comes out burnt. Its easy to clean, as all the parts rinse clean, or can be taken apart fast and easy for a heavy duty clean. A few things they don't tell you. It's mostly plastic, although it's referred to as Stainless Steal. However it's still pretty beefy. The drip tray and warming plate are both HEAVY DUTY chrome, as well as the frother. The portafilter is heavy duty (very sturdy) and you have your choice of two filter inserts (one for single espresso's and PODs and one for doubles) Because they are removable, its sometimes difficult to tamp the grinds into the trash with out the insert following. A little practice and you'll get it down. The warming tray doesn't really heat up to warm, and it takes a while. I suggest warming the cups with hot water from the machine. Lastly, the machine itself is pretty big. I expected it to be smaller. It's not a problem for me, but if you have a small kitchen, keep this in mind. In the end, it's a really great machine. Its much better then the Saeco I had previously. It gets 5 stars from me when comparing it to other machines at this price point! 20 of 20 people found the following review helpful. Barista's review By Latte Girl I work in a local coffee shop as a barista. And although this is not a professional machine, the espresso shots (using our Espresso beans of course) from this Delonghi EC460 Espresso Maker are every bit as good! Yes, yes, you need to let it warm up, I actually run an empty shot through to warm up my cup and get things going I believe the instructions even say to do this! You can dispense hot water to make americanos . . . that's a big plus in my book. As far as the frother . . .it's darn good for a home machine! If you are new to frothing, make sure to use a stainless pitcher and get yourself a thermometer and with a little practice your lattes will be perfect!! This is not a cheap plastic machine. I've been using it daily for 3 months, 2-4 shots depending on whether my hubby is home or not. Perfect crema every time!! This is a great machine that makes great espresso for a great price!! You won't be sorry and you'll thank yourself a "latte" for buying it!! 13 of 13 people found the following review helpful. Beautiful espresso By Gertie S When researching espresso makers, I first ordered the Lello Ariete and prepared myself for the wait. I had looked at this DeLonghi before ordering the Lello, but was thrown off by the image on Amazon not showing the portafilter, thinking it would be some sort of push-button, auto-dispensing, generic espresso maker. After a week or two of dreaming of the Lello and continuing to pay $3-$5 for soy lattes at local coffee houses, I decided to get back on Amazon and take a look again. After finding other images online of this DeLonghi with a portafilter, I decided to place my order. I ordered this on Oct. 28 and received it with free shipping on Nov. 2. It works like a dream, makes great espresso, and froths perfectly. Even my signficant other, who has worked in coffee shops for over 5 years and has a more discriminating taste, loves the espresso this DeLonghi machine makes. A previous reviewer had mentioned that the espresso was coming out warm, not hot. At first, I agreed, but that is only because I was switching the machine on and making my espresso immediately However, I have found that if I actually let the machine warm up for 5-10 minutes and follow the instructions for preheating, the espresso comes out very.

Caine After many years of home barista-ing and many machines, I wanted a change: I wanted a cleaner counter without knock boxes and grounds everywhere and Cafiza and backflushing and mess. It has exceeded my expectations. I drink a traditional cappuccino. Yes, the foam is the tall style shaving foam, rather than the silky microfoam, but I've learned to live with that, and the Delonghi foams better than my Gaggias, though it takes a bit longer. The steam wand is very easy to clean and does not clog. Setting the machine to the finest grind, and setting it to the highest strength and highest temp, my cappas are perfect -- absolutely delicious. Yes, it's essentially thermoblock and pressurized, but I prefer the cappas' flavor to what I had with a much more expensive setup. The machine holds plenty of beans, and cleans itself superbly every time. It's a design marvel and easy to use I'm happy I didn't get the model with the milk container, because the steaming is very easy to do myself, and using a thermometer, I can make sure the steamed milk is the temp I want. The main negative for me is that I wish the water container were one inch wider [and hence the machine one inch wider] which would have significantly increased the volume of water it contained: I find myself refilling the water often, compared to emptying pucks or refilling beans, which is rare. Overall, I'm very happy I went for this Perfecta. 10 of 11 people found the following review helpful. I have never had a better cup of coffee! By C. Houlding This machine is AMAZING! I have never tasted smoother, richer coffee ever ... not even in coffee shops. It is so easy to use and within minutes you can have espresso, latte, cappuccino or americano coffee. I used a French press using conventional percolators have tried and have used a pod machine, coffee maker but it gets 10 out of 5 stars if I could to assess itself! You can use coffee beans (the machine automatically grinds as much as is required) or you can add ground beans yourself, you can choose the strength of coffee you want and what volume. I will never go back to the other methods of coffee! The only thing is ... We're all drinking too much good coffee now! 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Delonghi Perfecta Super Automatic Espresso Machine by Sergey Latkin I use this machine for about two weeks and I find it so far. It makes a great espresso in just 30 seconds with the push of a button. I also tried making cappuccino a few times and they were OK, but the nozzle is a bit short, leaving little space between the machine and the staff themselves. For those who complain of cold coffee, I would say read the manual, people. Coffee temperature can be adjusted, and it is not the highest setting initialy Also, if you use fine china and bone china cups, paper cups or never (ugh!), they would not cool drink as much as ordinary stoneware mugs. Make any rainy day better by brewing crema-rich espresso drinks from the comfort of home with this programmable espresso machine. Designed to satisfy both novice brewers and experienced baristas, the unit offers manual operation as well as an intelligent programmable function that can be personalized with a favorite espresso setting. Its custom-set programming function extracts the perfect volume of coffee at the touch of a button--choose from Auto Shot, Custom Shot, or Manual Shot. Prior to extraction, the machine's 15-bar Italian-made Triple-Prime pump with a thermoblock heating system delivers three bursts of hot water into the filter head. This increased pressure expands the ground coffee or espresso pod and helps eliminate air pockets, which allows the unit to extract more crema for a rich, smooth-tasting coffee. In addition, the unit's electronic temperature-control system accurately maintains the optimal brewing temperature of the water to ensure the best possible extraction. A pressure gauge on the front of the unit measures the pressure that water gets forced through the coffee in the filter holder. The gauge needle pointing above or below the Optimum Zone indicates over- or under-extracted espresso. The gauge needle positioned in the recommended Optimum Zone during pouring indicates espresso will be produced at the ideal pressure and will have a generous layer of golden crema. When it's time to produce steam for frothing milk, the espresso machine increases the water temperature and provides a swivel-action steam wand with a stainless-steel frothing attachment, plus a froth enhancer and a stainless-steel frothing pitcher for barista-style results. After frothing, its Auto-Purge function returns the water temperature to the optimal level for brewing. To save on energy the machine will enter Power Save mode if not used for one hour, and will automatically turn off if not used for three hours. Power Save mode uses 45-percent less power than Stand By mode. Other thoughtful details include a 75-ounce water tank, 4-1/2-inch head elevation to accommodate full-size mugs, a 1-liter slide-out drip tray, a dedicated hot-water wand with a 360-degree ball joint, and an extra-large cup-warming plate. Accessories include one- and two-cup dual-wall stainless-steel filters, an espresso-pod filter, a tamping tool/measuring spoon, a cleaning tool, and a user manual with recipes. Housed in die-cast stainless steel, the espresso machine measures 10 by 10-1/2 by 12-1/4 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

I do not pretend that an espresso or a junkie lover, but I am dependent on my morning latte habit, and was too expensive so we bought this machine for Christmas. It's great! One of my main criteria, besides a good espresso, it was a foam wall that would really work, and what you do. Texturize the milk beautifully and makes for delicious creamy foam on my latte and cappuccino. We are still working to get the right grind and package together, but I love you the pods in the machine, which is great for decaf! We drink regular coffee in the morning or afternoon, but every once in a while I want a cappuccino in the morning, but it's not worth keeping decaffeinated beans and drain my mill on the caffeine-free replacement so we are decaffeinated pods on hand for those rare evenings crave. Perfectly suited! You have to be willing to experiment to get the right to attack / combo espresso grind or not taste very delicious, but if you have a little patience and trying different combinations that really worth And I like the direction of hot water - heated very quickly and very well for hot tea! Very easy to use, easy to clean and maintain, and completely worth it! Remarkable things: - heats up quickly - announced that the top serves the machine as a warming station for your espresso cups, but it does not get hot enough to hold the cups almost ready (hot hot water with the hot water dispenser instead of) warm - does not require the Using distilled or filtered water (in fact, say that not using the instructions in distilled water) - just use tap water and descaling with vinegar from time to time - the waste is beautiful and great was able 6 strips to make, including rinsing between was not individual, and grease pan completed - water supply is very large and has plenty of water - "programmable" simply means that it is the size of your shot program size and how unique your shot is double, so that when they has been programmed, you need only one key press for an espresso - eliminates the guesswork that results in excess incompatible - pod system only works for simple shooting, everything, what can I say that there are no duplicate pods on the market, and even if you were there, I do not think they fit in the pod system 14 of 14 people found this review helpful A good espresso on this machine with Askari Panther Creek This is an idea of the quality of the coffee machine makes, and not on reliability, long or short term machine because I've only had about a month, I bought coffee at a Starbucks coffee shop and asked the barista to grind coffee beans, an espresso. Decided not to buy a mill (since reviews of the mills shows nothing but problems). The first results were disappointing me. No matter how well it fills my coffee filter two kinds, or the full amount of coffee in it, never reached the pressure on the gauge with the principle of "optimal" range. She decides to ask the barista if they had a finely ground coffee. They said it was his best # "2". With that experience, I fill the filter with coffee, two shots at the top of the filter, and full of routines as hard as I could. Start the machine. The needle began to rise, reached the optimal range, went all the way to optimal range and over before finally stopping when the car stops pouring the coffee! I also noticed that the amount of coffee was paid just under $ 2 shots of coffee Removing the holder of the machine, it was clear that the water filter, which had not pressed through the coffee grinds mixed with the past. The next cup of espresso, which I did, I did not pack the coffee so difficult or so to fill up. I left about 1 / 8 "between the edge of the coffee filter. It 'done. After.

This espresso machine offers sun in my morning by Alexis Cordova I'm not sure why this espresso machine has such a low score (note: small sample size), but Cafe Venezia espresso machine magic since I bought this machine since Mar 2010th was a bit more complicated than my previous computer, it took a while to get everything exactly as I wanted, but now the machine is almost perfect. My only complaint would be that it looks too much water for non-coffee / milk frothing activity. I think it's to do some self-cleaning or whatever, and it is not as big of a deal, because this thing has a good amount of water, but the pan (which I will call it) seems to be filled with water rather quickly. But really, I'm just picky. I paint coffee beans with an extra fine grinder setting, and the car has never blown up on me, except for the first time I used it (All espresso machines do it for me for some reason) The frothing wand should be cleaned regularly, and if it is a strange color, but even though I now drink the poison, I welcome my delicious, aromatic death. 5 of 6 people found this review helpful. I never go back to the leaders expressed steam with Stardazer After steaming espresso cappuccino at those responsible for such a day for the past 12 years, I thought it was time to switch to a pump model. I researched the types of pumps and decided on this model. Wow! What a difference! The first espresso coffee is like a creamy tan color, which makes it clear in a rich dark brown color in a minute. What is the difference in taste! We use pure Kona and the taste is softer and sweeter than we are accustomed to. In the week I used it, I still have not learned the foam of this device, but it is always better, and is probably a learning curve for me. Some indications and warnings should be mentioned in advance in order to optimize performance and large eyes purchase: 1) This model is heavier and noisier than the steam models 2) No carafe is included. I use a Pyrex measuring cup, if you make two servings. Approximately 1 / 3 cup per serving Espresso 3) You must manually disable the control after the desired amount of espresso is made, therefore, measuring cup 1 / 3 per serving 4) Removable water tank - a nice touch. If not positioned correctly, you hear a loud continuous noise as the drive tries to draw water, can not achieve. It 'just the tip of a student. 5) While the water is huge, you can only do one or two servings at a time, unless the express is diluted. Doing more is only a matter of putting the device in standby, eliminating the causes, filling up with new reasons to continue the process again. 6) Always wait for the sound boom boom pump to stop before proceeding to the next step. This is usually a matter of seconds, just do not be impatient! 7) Whenever the foam job, you must wait until the orange light go out first. It 's like waiting for the oven reaches the correct temperature. 8) You can not go from dark to espresso without first placing the unit in standby for a bicycle bike cool down for about 10 seconds. When it stops, you can proceed. This is just a cool down. 9) To correct this espresso machine is FAST! 10) I am over 13 years! With the above in mind, I hope you take the plunge. The price is good and the difference in taste is remarkable. If you are looking to upgrade your espresso maker steam, go for it! The Holidaze are just around the corner! 76 of 76 people found the following review helpful. Simple Espresso B. Molina by an introduction to my first point-of-view on the coffee. I'm not a coffee snob by any means, but I know what tastes good and what is not. I'm no stranger to the kitchen ... I mean, kitchen gadgets are free for herself to me. I wanted to pay an espresso machine because it was almost $ 5 for a latte a day is always the control I brew coffee at home all the time, but really needed something that would save me $ 20 + one week I bought a Mr. Coffee unit that was horrible and I returned. I did not want to spend $ 300 - $ 500 for something to brew their own espresso, but I wanted something that was cheap. I recommend this model have to pump it and build my previous experience with Krups. Right out of the box, I cleaned the system after the simple instructions. So I had to do my first latte. I read the directions while cleaning the system and found it very easy to understand. Self-cleaning system really helps to learn the system relatively quickly. So off I go .... This Krups espresso machine brews one cup of whole, and like it. As soon as my espresso was brewed, I steamed and frothed milk for my latte. I could not believe how easy it was. My first experience with this unit and I was able to make a great latte, which tasted good to not only create, but it did the milk was hot and there was just the right amount of foam for my chocolate drizzle on top. This device can not alone.

I will add their comments to earlier written: * Cream varies with coffee beans, fresh beans cream shiney give more and have more (but subtle) flavors. The best cream I have no Starbucks beans. Peet's good, but it is Nicolas. Even the great generosity ($ 5/lb when sales at the local store) works OK. Remember, these espresso machines extract more flavor from coffee beans (which gain or drip machines), is the kind of pressure (versus temperature) process. * For a great double shot (actually, four grams), to fill the new filter is based on the level (not filled) with whole grains, milled for 8 seconds on a cheapo spice grinder, and they do not pack too tight, not (for soft ). The ground rolled almost to the line reached number two in the filter. I run the pump for 30 seconds after liquid starts to come out of nozzle machine is turned on and heat for only about 5-10 minutes before. * I've used Starbucks pods. It does not take two (at 15 seconds of a pump) for a double shot of it. It tastes good (but not as strong as when I use fresh ground.) Pods are faster but more expensive than the use of bases. You must be careful to press the pod in the filter, so all the water goes through around, not the bath. Be aware that this machine comes with two stainless steel filters, one for basic, and less pre-packaged pods. * These machines use *** *** PRESS temperature for the flavors to get. This results in smoother taste, but not boiling temperatures. If you want your espresso hot process, nuke it afterwards. * The supplied plastic tamper is too thin for the tamping pressure, I have found works best, get a stronger one (I got an aluminum one from a local kitchen store.) ) If you're not tough enough to tamp, float grounds and coating nozzel to high pressure water jets coming out of the grind and tamp just right, they used their reasoning hockey puck shape are preserved when you shake out the filter. * Coffee cups do not fit under the spout. It is not enough espresso machine like this in a lot that come close to completing a standard 10 oz mug. I just want to brew a strong cup of a male ;-) I had a shorter, more petite, I resort to the fine porcelain coffee cups set to drinking. (Do not tell my friends.) * If you have read the analytic type, in "The Complexity of Coffee" in Scientific American in June 2002, Vol 286, Issue 6 P86. It contains good information that you use to brew your perfect can. * Use a light buzz from caffeine to clean the machine after each use and it will last a long time. There was a recall (40,714 in the old version), since some people cleaning the milk from the nozzle, resulting in burns when the plug of the curdled milk powder of age, suddenly erupted Use your common sense, this puppy clean dog to keep and make cup after cup of great drink. * The foam does not stick is easier to use because of the funny angle, short duration and low height above the counter. I had a stainless steel jug just the right size, 10 oz to find the edge. Disclaimer: I do not use much the mouthpiece, so it does not affect my appreciation of this machine. * After years of usage, hard water deposits to build up in the beak just above where the coffee down. I noticed that water was spraying rather than dripping from here (during cleaning). No need to go through the special cleaner, I successfully remove the nozzle deposits rubbing with a towel after each use. It became part of the ritual of making espresso. * I've been burned by other factors when choosing the cheapest, but not on it also has some disadvantages, but for the price they can easily escape. He kept my picky self satisfied! 38 of 38 people found this review helpful. Perfect.
